#114

We all create distinctions out of our own minds and believe them to be true.

We are not born with any distinction between race, colour, or creed, it is a learned behaviour. This is the onset of prejudice, if a child is raised in such an atmosphere.

We all are programmed throughout our lives with various ideas/opinions by parents, teachers, or other authority figures, that we innocently infuse into our systems. When we reach adulthood, we therefore, have preconceived ideas as to what is real and true. We may have elaborated or embellished the original teachings in our growing process, as well. Now we have an arsenal of beliefs that we feel are true, but do they make sense, do they feel right to you?

This is a generational system of instilling beliefs in the young,  although it may be a blessing to some or a life of heartache to others.

Most children believe what their parents tell them, they take everything as gospel, at least I did. I had no reason to doubt their wisdom. But if the elders of the family, themselves, were raised in any sort of dysfunction, the messages may be skewed. And down the line the person is butting heads with everyone and everything due to his convictions.

We cannot control other peoples' ideas or feelings. They can only learn for themselves what is truth and what is not. They are who they are, and so are you. You are in control of how you feel. Our brains download information and we must discern what is truth for ourselves.

We have the power to  'feel' our actual feelings and not just follow dogma out of conditioning. We can question and reason when a button is pushed and draw our own conclusions.
