No matter what has happened to you since your 'time of innocence', you can change the route you are taking, your beliefs, your mind, anything that is holding you back. You don't have to stay stuck where you are, doing something that you don't want to do. You don't have to 'put up and shut up'. No one is the boss of you, it is your life.

You wrote the script and you are the only one to fulfill the mission that you've come here to realize.  You will do exactly what you were meant to do, you have all the attributes for this challenge.  You are precisely what is needed and that is why you are here. Don't let anyone get you down, you are perfect just the way you are.
