Life isn't as serious as the
mind makes it out to be.

Eckhart Tolle

Your mind tells you all kinds of things, doesn't it? It tells you all the terrible things that could happen to you or those you care about. It's there to nag at you with tales of all that might go wrong in any scenario. It works on guilt, shame, fear, and insecurity.

You have constant chatter, a running commentary going on in your head, warning you. It tells you all the reasons that you shouldn't do all those things you've always wanted to do, what would happen if you left the safety of your home to go on that trip you've been planning for years? What about your obligations, your responsibilities, your debts?

Seriously, life is not that serious. We make it appear so when we decide to accept the thoughts that ultimately scare us, creating anxiety, stress, and worry. If you find yourself listening to thoughts of doom and gloom, STOP LISTENING.

It is not necessary to take heed, scrutinize or believe every thought that comes into your head. It is mostly nonsense and supposition, not truth. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow nor anytime in the future, so worrying about it is a waste of time and energy.

You are not here to worry and fret, so appreciate what you have, where you are, and Don't Worry Be Happy!
