REMEMBER HER?
She is still there...inside you...
WAITING
Let's go get her.
The child within... The scrawny little runt filled to the brim with enthusiasm, laughter, anticipation, and excitement. She was always eager, delighted AND delightful, thrilled about any little thing that happened. She was HAPPY!
You do remember, when you actually stop and think about it, how it felt to be that little child, do you not? Why did you let her go so easily? You left her for the grumpy, tired, dissatisfied, frustrated woman that she turned into? Why are you so attached to this version of yourself? Why not trade yourself in for the child you once were?
Don't take life so seriously, you may have responsibilities and obligations galore, but there is always time to play. You can find time for anything that you make a priority. You need the down time, everything will wait until you are ready to jump back in. In the meantime, jump rope.
"Moms and dads worry about a lot of things. There are the big issues, like making sure your children are healthy and safe, paying all the bills, and ensuring that the kids are getting a good education. Then there are the everyday challenges of organizing a household, like getting everyone where they need to be on time, doing the laundry, and cooking dinner while helping with homework. All these responsibilities and chores often translate into chronically stressed parents. It is possible for parents to put their “to do” list on the back burner and take some time for play." excerpts from www.astratoy.org
Play time with your kids is important for them, but don't forget to include play time for you. Laugh, run, skip, try hopscotch, do something with no ulterior motive, no reason or intent. Have some fun.
