"You will always be too much of something for someone: too big, too loud, too soft, too edgy. If you round out your edges, you lose your edge.

Apologize for mistakes. Apologize for unintentionally hurting someone - profusely. But don't apologize for being who you are."
- Danielle LaPorte

No matter how hard you try, you won't succeed in pleasing everyone, and if you expect everyone to think that you are the greatest thing in the world, you will be sorely disappointed. It is not your job to please everyone or change yourself in any way for someone's approval. You are not responsible for anyone's perception of you, and you can't control anyone's reaction. There will always be people with something negative to say, criticizing you or your actions. Remember: it is only someone's opinion, it's not necessarily the truth. Don't listen to anyone's evaluation of you, it usually has little to do with you, personally, but more about something lacking in them.

"What other people think of you is none of your business."  Paulo Coelho

If you do something that you are sorry for, apologize. If you hurt someone, apologize, but always be who you are. Don't try to change yourself so that people will like you. The right people will always come into your life, the people that can see who you are and love you for it.

You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time." John Lydgate
