#247

The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions.

Once you open your mind to a new idea, a new experience, a new understanding, you are open, you can't unlearn your new knowledge.

And by the same token, once you start doing your inner work and walking the path, once you embark on awareness, develop a new perception... you will never go back to what you were before.

You have awakened to some extent. Your mind has changed and you will never be the same as you were before. This insight will open your eyes, and maybe your heart to a new way of thinking, a new way of 'seeing' things. All it takes is a slight crack in your facade, to allow one new idea, one new thought, a change in the way you look at things to change your world.

"Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change." Dr. Wayne Dyer

Next time something new is directed at you, if you find yourself experiencing a negative reaction; this is the time. Try opening up to something different, at least hear it out; then contemplate it for awhile, google it, investigate it BUT do not immediately negate it. You never know where your most profound, life altering moment will originate.

“A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it is not open.”
Frank Zappa

“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.”
Albert Einstein
